Tafilalt Meknes Properties is a city in northern Morocco, located 130 km (81 miles) from the capital Rabat and 60 km (37 miles) away from Fez and its neighboring real estate. The real estate is connected by road between the two cities running from the East and West Properties and with a transite line corresponding with its passing trains to the Tangier Tetouan Properties. Meknes was the capital of Morocco, under the authority of Moulay Ismail (1672-1727), before its transfer to Marrakech. The population is 985,000 (census 2010). Meknes is named after a Berber tribe was known Miknasa (Berber native name: Imeknasen) during the medieval times in North Africa.
The original community of which can be traced Meknes was a fortress in the eighth century. A Berber tribe called Miknasa, born of the Tunisiansouth, settled there in the ninth century, and therefore a city developed.
Almoravids founded a fortress here in the 9th century. The increase of the Almohads was later therefore destroyed by them, only to be rebuilt in a larger size with major mosques and fortifications. During M?rinides it received the madrassas additional, the Kasbah and mosques in the early 14 century, which later continued to prosper under the dynasty Wattasid. Meknes saw its golden age of the imperial capital of Moulay Ismail.
