We are expecting an outbreak of severe weather tomorrow. The Storm Prediction Center has put a 30% probability of severe weather occurring within 25 miles of your home:
I expect the morning commute in the metro area to okay, storms will be to the west but moving towards the metroplex. They should arrive sometime in the mid-to-late morning. Several rounds of strong storms will move across our area through the afternoon and evening.
The greatest risk of severe weather will be from large hail and damaging winds. There is a slight risk of tornadoes south of the metro area during the afternoon and early evening.
Another round of thunderstorms arrives in the overnight hours near daybreak. This will likely be a squall line of very heavy rain, frequent lightning and perhaps damaging winds. The rain amounts will be very impressive, close to 2?-3? around the metro area and as high as 4?-5? just east of the Dallas from Paris, Sulphur Springs, Canton to Corsicana.
Because of the heavy rain event ahead the National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Flash Flood Advisory for most of our area:
The afternoon commute tomorrow ?could have severe weather. The morning commute on Tuesday is particular dangerous; the heaviest rain should arrive in the morning darkness moving over areas that have already had heavy rain. Flash flooding and road flooding is likely.
