Article Directory :: Self-Improvement/Motivation Articles

Did you know that affirmations can be a powerful and manifesting tool in your life?

They are used to aid in healing, for stress and anxiety reduction, meditation, to uplift moods, bring about a desired goals, and enhance your overall well-being.

They can create possibilities and positive outcomes in all areas of your life.

Affirming statements can be stated anytime or anywhere and for anything to support your growth, desires and intentions.

They can be small and punchy, long or short, poetic, spiritual, loving, creative, or straight to the point. You can say one or many and you can repeat them as often as you like.

All you have to do is go to the library, book store, or on line, and you will see many writings and testimonials on the importance and magnitude of using affirmations. Why? Because people are experiencing and living the positive results that these brilliant little gems have on their life.

When you create an affirmation, you want to be crystal clear as to what it is you truly want to manifest before making your declaration.

Sometimes people aren't sure what it is they covet and therefore their statements might be vague and lack meaning as well as the emotion within their intent.

Once you have clarity, then you can begin to choose words and phrases that excite, ignite, calm, encourage, support, and so on, what you want to manifest.

Whether it's a state of being, a goal to achieve, or something specific you would like, it's important that your affirmation promotes a positive and convincing feeling within you.

When stating your intention, it's important that you believe the end result is possible. If you don't, then your statements aren't convincing and will feel empty and lack faith.

If there isn't any feeling or conviction behind what it being said, how can you believe it's possible to obtain?

In truth, do you believe you are worth the end result? Do you believe you deserve to be happy, in love, healthy, wealthy, peaceful, etc.? Do you?

Star Jones said, "I think for a couple of years I believed I was doing it all on my own and I wasn't".

When we trust that our wishes are being heard and handled, even if it's not quite as we had planned or when we want, then we can let go and let a higher power, the Universe, or God, work out the details and timing.

When we trust we aren't working alone then we are open to receive all the gifts life has to offer. I don't know about you, but I would rather be a believer that dreams really can come true than be a non-believer.

Make your affirmations clear, concise, meaningful, and believable to you. What works for another person may not be right for you.

You can say whisper them, but when you say them out loud they are filled with energy.

State your affirmations in the present tense. For instance, "I want to be calm and relaxed" becomes "I am calm and relaxed".

Be creative with your affirmations, have fun with them, let them invoke a positive feeling in you, an excitement, a healing, a growing and expanding feeling or sensation.

The more meaningful the words in your statements are to you, the more believable they will be.

Be in alignment with your declarations.
